Back in December when I started doing some "research" I found Georganne's blog and fell in love with her cake with stand biscuits (here). Later on I came across Callye's tutorial for a cake with stand using a wedding cake and a small triangle cutters (here). Problem is, I don't have a wedding cake cutter and after seeing how gorgeous they were with a stand, I didn't want to buy a plain wedding cake cutter. Turns out Georganne made her own and she says it's not as hard as it looks... Say no more! I now have a (small) stash of cookie cutters ready for recycling.
Here is mine: from very ugly flower (well, I think it was a flower!) to cake with a stand.
For this design I decided to turn the cakes into topsy turvy so trimmed them a bit.
Quand j'ai commencé mes "recherches" en décembre, je suis tombée sur le blog de Georganne et j'ai craqué sur ces biscuits. Quelques semaines plus tard, je lis une tuto de Callye: elle a utilisé deux emportes pièces, un gateau de marriage et un petit triangle (là). Un petit problème: je n'ai pas d'emporte pièce gateau de marriage et maintenant que je l'avais vu avec socle, je n'en voulais pas un tout simple... Je suis retournée sur le blog de Georganne, ai lu tous les commentaires: elle avait fait l'emporte pièce elle même! Vite au travail, j'ai maintenant quelques emportes pièces prêts à être recyclés.
Voilà ma version: c'était une emporte pièce fleur, très moche (je crois que c'était une fleur!), transformé en quelques heures.
Pour cette "collection" je voulais des gateaux assymétriques (pourquoi faire simple...) donc je les ai simplement recoupés.
